Physiotherapy

Program Information Eligibility

Students must have completed 12th Standard (HSC) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognized board. English is usually a compulsory subject. Some universities may require a minimum aggregate in PCB for eligibility.

Duration

Diploma in Physiotherapy (DPT) – 2 Years

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) – 4.5 Years (including 6 months internship)

MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) – 2 Years (after BPT)

Ph.D. in Physiotherapy – 3–5 Years (after MPT)

Community Eligibility (Minimum Percentage – PCM Average)

OC / General– 45%

BC / BCM– 40%

MBC / DNC– 40%

SC / SCA / ST– 40%

Counselling Process

State-level counselling by TNDMMU for government colleges. Merit-based admission based on 12th standard PCB marks for private colleges. Some institutions may also consider entrance exams or interviews for selection.
